WOSM - World Organization of Scouting Movement
As a member of the Boy Scouts of America, you are also a member of WOSM - the World Organization of Scouting Movement. You show your membership
by wearing the World Crest over the left pocket of your uniform.
There are more than 28 million Scouts, youth and adults, boys and girls,
in 216 countries and territories.
National organizations: There are 154 countries with internationally
recognized National Scout Organizations.
Scouting elsewhere: There are 26 main territories where Scouting
exists, often as overseas branches of member Scout Organizations.
There are 36 countries where Scouting exists (be it embryonic or
widespread) but where there is no National Scout Organization
which is yet a member
of WOSM.
There are only 7 countries without Scouting.
