New rules for Eagle Project funds and materials: (posted 10/7/09)

"Vision" is that it (an Eagle Scout Project) is a life lesson - later in life when something is wanted, something must be done or given in exchange for money. Goods or Service, not events, requiring pre-ticket sales."

1) An Eagle candidate may not solicit funds or materials from any person or company.
No more letters requesting donations.

2) ANY fundraising activity for an Eagle project (which must provide goods or service)
must have a Unit Fund Raising application on file with the Council Office at least
21 days before the activity
.

3) Any money earned by an Eagle fundraising project must be turned over to the Troop
which may then redistribute it to the Scout.

4) "Uniforms and use of Boy Scouts terminology is not permitted for fundraisers aside
from those benefitting all of Scouting."
