Adult Awards / Knots : Volunteers - like YOU - deserve recognition for special efforts

Adult Awards will be presented at the Sand Lake District Banquet in May. Each recipient will be given a Certificate and their appropriate 'knot'.

District Awards thru 2009 / Council Silver Beaver recipients thru 2009

Special Sand Lake District only recognitions (click on titles for nomination forms) Nominations due to Mike Shea or Beau Tooley by May 1st:

Scoutmaster of the Year
Den Leader of the Year
Committee Chair of the Year (can also be used for other Committee members)
Cubmaster of the Year

Silver Beaver Award submit directly to Bob Gibson

The following Awards/Knots are available for adult Scouters. A few require a nomination process, but most require only that the Scouter fill out a record of their participation and submit it to their Unit Committee. Completed Record Card should be submitted to Bob Gibson or Beau Tooley at any time of the year.:

Awards / Knots which require nomination by other Scouters:

District Award of Merit Nomination Form
The District/Division Award of Merit is awarded by a District to volunteer and professional adults for service to youth in the District. Normally, the award is presented for service to youth in excess of five years.
(Candidates for this award must be nominated. Self-nomination disqualifies the candidate.)

Silver Beaver Award Nomination Form (deadline 3/23/07)
The Silver Beaver Award is presented upon action of a Council Executive Board of one of the BSA's local Councils for outstanding service to youth within the Council. The average tenure for Silver Beaver candidates is ten years or longer.
(Candidates for this award must be nominated. Self-nomination disqualifies the candidate.)
